European Summer Symposia with Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR)
The European Summer Symposia in Financial Markets (ESSFM) and Economic Theory (ESSET) bring together leading researchers for an extended period of time. While some time is set aside for seminars, focus sessions, as well as for less formal evening seminars, a substantial amount is reserved for independent work and collaborative research. This provides participants with a unique opportunity to interact and discuss each other's research.
ESSFM and ESSET are co-organized with CEPR and take place every year at the Study Center Gerzensee.
The European Summer Symposium in International Macroeconomics (ESSIM) is an annual meeting that brings together between fifty and sixty economists from across Europe and key researchers from outside the region. It provides a unique opportunity for macroeconomists from different universities and countries to discuss research in a relaxed atmosphere and to develop long-term collaborative relationships. Another important aim of ESSIM is to provide young researchers with the opportunity to meet and discuss their work with senior economists.
