Since 1992, the Swiss National Bank and the Study Center Gerzensee sponsor a biannual conference organized jointly with the Journal of Monetary Economics.
The conference brings together academics and central bankers from around the world to consider the implications of recent research for macroeconomic policy. For each conference, six to eight papers on a common subject are written by leading specialists in the field.
These papers are discussed during the conference and anonymously refereed before publication in a special issue of the Journal of Monetary Economics.
