Alexandra Piller joined the Study Center Gerzensee as a Teaching Assistant in August 2021. She is currently a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Bern. Prior to her current role, she completed a Master’s degree in Economics at the University of Bern and gained experience as an intern in the Swiss National Bank's Economic Analysis Unit. Alongside her studies, she worked part-time as a consultant at one of Switzerland's leading domestic banks. Her research lies at the intersection of monetary economics and macroeconomics, with a particular focus on the application of empirical methods such as machine learning, text analysis, and (Bayesian) vector autoregression.
