I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Study Center, not only for the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the lecturers and staff, but also for the quality of the course content. The programme was thoughtfully designed to strike a balance between theoretical depth and practical application. All in, the course offered a robust and up-to-date overview of policy-relevant issues, while also introducing participants to cutting-edge academic research. The course was not only an enriching educational experience, but also a deeply personal one. One of the most rewarding aspects of the programme was the opportunity to meet and connect with participants from all over the world. Over the course of two weeks, and many lunches and dinners, I had the opportunity to exchange views with fellow central bankers on all sorts of topics, from “talking shop” about economic issues and current affairs, to chitchats about parenting, hobbies, food, travel and our latest reading lists. What truly surprised and delighted me was how quickly we found common ground and made firm friendships.
