3 min read

The Study Center Gerzensee, Foundation of the Swiss National Bank, will host the 2026 Summer Workshop on Money, Banking, Payments and Finance, on June 29-July 3, 2026. It is a joint workshop of the Bank of Canada, the Board of Governors and the Study Center Gerzensee.

Paper submission

For more than 25 years, the workshop has been providing a yearly platform for exchange of ideas and promoting greater interaction between economists working on money, banking, payment, and finance.

We invite researchers working in these areas to submit a paper for inclusion in the program of the workshop. Topics include, but are not limited to,

• Monetary economics and monetary policy
• OTC markets
• E-money and the use of blockchain technology in payments and finance
• Wholesale and retail payments
• Financial intermediaries

The Study Center will cover accommodation for academic speakers for the length of the workshop.

To submit a paper, please send a paper, or an extended abstract including the main results, along with the names of any co-authors to forum@szgerzensee.ch. Please specify “Summer Workshop” in the subject line. Please also use this email address if you are interested to attend the workshop without presenting.

The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2026. Authors will be notified by April 15, 2026.
