1 min read

Joint conference with BIS, CEPR and Swiss Finance Institute.

We are delighted to share these moments from the recent BIS-CEPR-Gerzensee-SFI Conference on Financial Intermediation!

This conference discussed advances in theoretical and empirical research on financial intermediation including banking, non-bank financial institutions, monetary policy transmission and transition finance with leading researchers from academia and policy institutions as well as early career researchers in the field.

A special thank you to Itay Goldstein (Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania) for his inspiring keynote speech on Tracing the Sources of Fragility in the Financial System.

Thanks to all conference participants for the excellent presentations, discussions, posters, and debates. Thanks to our co-organizers Christoph Basten (European Central Bank & CESifo), Sebastian Doerr (Bank for International Settlements & CEPR), Andreas Fuster (EPFL, SFI & CEPR), and Emilia Garcia-Appendini (University of St. Gallen, Norges Bank & SFI) for putting together this high-quality program.

A special thanks to the Bank for International Settlements, the Swiss Finance Institute, and CEPR for this successful partnership.
